Today was the first round of LPGA Qualifying School in Daytona, Florida. I shot a very simple and nice 71 on the Champions course at LPGA International. My feelings toward the start of this marathon of golf (five rounds) and my round today are great! I putted well and drove the ball really well. I have a new caddie on my bag, Adam, who is a great guy and a positive person to have (with Martin’s hip surgery he is just not ready to caddie yet). We worked really well together and I am looking forward to working with him the rest of the week. Martin was on the side lines watching everything and coaching me along before and after the round. I have a great team with me this week and I am excited to be here playing in Qualifying School.
Tomorrow I am teeing off of The Legend’s golf course at LPGA International at 10:17am eastern time. If you want to follow along go to http://www.lpga.com for live scoring! Thanks for all your support during this stressful time, I really appreciate all the encouragement!
