First Round of Cactus Tour Event at Seville

As second stage of LPGA Qualifying school is going on in Venice, FL right now, I am excited to say that I am able to be here in Phoenix playing in another Cactus Tour event.  This Cactus event only has 12 girls in the field including three LPGA players and is being played at a great course in Gilbert called Seville Country Club.  The weather was hot but the conditions of the course were awesome, especially the greens.  My round today was decent, I shot a solid one under par, 71 putting me in third over all and two strokes out of the lead.  My ball striking was great and I had so many opportunities to score today.  I am looking forward to capitilizing on all of my opportunities tomorrow in round two.  Tomorrow I’ll be playing with Alena Sharp and Beth Bader, two LPGA players.  I’m excited to play some golf tomorrow and see how low Martin and I can go!

A brief note for all the girls in second stage, good luck!  I’ve got a lot of friends there and wish them the best!
