Final Round Outfit
Yesterday was the final round of The Cactus Tour event here in Phoenix at Orange Tree Golf Club. I started the tournament shooting a 75 on Monday. I was hitting the ball great and just had two bad holes. The next round I played about the same, but the putts dropped and I shot 69! I then finished the tournament shooting an even par, 72 on Wednesday. Overall I finished even par for the tournament, a 216 final score, which put me in a solo fourth place finish. It was a good showing and I am excited about my game right now.
This next week I will be working hard on my game and getting ready for the following five weeks out on the Symetra Tour starting in Sarasota, Florida. The tournament is the 25th-27th of April. During those events I will be sporting the new Chase 54 clothing and Pukka hats. These two brands are awesome and extremely comfortable. Check them out sometime, I promise you will be so happy you did! As I like to say “look good, play good!”
Hope you enjoy your day and can catch some of the most amazing tournaments of the year, THE MASTERS!!!
Last week The Symetra Tour finished up The IOA Golf Classic in Longwood, FL. It was a great tournament hosted by IOA Insurance Company at Alaqua Country Club. This was a fun course with tight fairways and the smallest greens I have ever played on. We ended up having to finish on Monday due to heavy rainfall, tornado warnings and thunder/lightening on Saturday. I finishing the event tied for 56th after making the cut on the number. It wasn’t my best showing but I hit the ball beautifully and did a lot of great things throughout the week.
This upcoming week I will be playing in a Cactus Tour event here in Phoenix at Orange Tree Golf Club. It will be held this Monday through Wednesday. I am looking forward to getting out there and playing because I really am playing great.
These next three weeks at home will be focused on preparing for the upcoming Symetra Tour events. We got some great events coming up starting April 25th in Sarasota, FL at Sara Bay Golf Course. Once I hit the road again I will be traveling for five weeks all over the southeast part of the USA. I am looking forward to this next stretch. Wish me luck and if you are in the area be sure to come check us out! For more information on where we will be go to http://www.symetratour.com for location and dates.

This last week was a fun week! Despite not finishing how I wanted too, I had a great time and played well. There are a lot of positive things to take from this last tournament and that is all I am going to look at. I finished tied for 14th shooting even par for the event. I was in contention and put myself in a positing to do something on the last day. Over all I am happy with the progress in my game and look forward to my next event!
The next even starts this Friday in Longwood, FL. It is the IOA Golf Classic held May 28th-30th at Alaqua Country Club.
Well despite shooting 72 and fighting really hard for that score, I did not make the LPGA event here in Phoenix. However, I learned a lot and have a lot of positive things to pull from this one day. I am excited to say that I will be heading to Florida for the next Symetra Tour event tomorrow. The round today is a good starting point for this next weeks event.
My next event starts Friday the 21st in Lake Wales, FL. Follow along at http://www.symetratour.com for live scoring and check back here for more updates!
Sorry for making this year so confusing with my name changes. However, I have decided to go with Jessi White on The Symetra Tour website. So if you happen to look for me, look under the “W”! Thanks for your support!!
Yesterday I finished up my second Cactus Tour event at Wildfire Golf Course here in Phoenix. This is my fourth event of the year and things are coming along just fine. The Cactus event was the largest Cactus Tour event ever with 65 players. My three rounds consisted of 77-68-74 which placed my 14th overall. I am excited about my 68 and know that there are many more rounds like that in my future. I am doing a lot of things very well on the golf course, it just comes down to cleaning up some shots and making more putts.
Two weeks ago I played my second Symetra Tour event in California at Pacific Palms Resort. It was a tournament of many delays. I did not finish my first round until Sunday afternoon. It was tough conditions and the tournament was reduced to 36 holes and finished on Monday. I ended up shooting 74-77 and finished tied for 66th. I did many things well during that event just did not score how I wanted to. I am working hard on my game and look forward to my next events.
This Monday I am participating in the Monday Qualifier for the LPGA event in Phoenix. I will keep you posted on how that turns out. Wish me luck!
Last week was the first Symetra Tour event in Mesa, AZ. It was a great introduction into the new season to see where my game is and what I need to work on to improve. I ended up shooting four over par for the event and finishing 59th.
The positives from this last week are that I made the cut and I made a lot birdies (14 total birdies)!! I am excited to see what I am capable of and what I need to improve for the next event. The areas to improve are confidence in my short game and getting back into the competition mode. My short game is really close but I just need to sharpen it up. I love what I am working on and towards and honestly believe this year is going to be something special.
This next week the Symetra Tour is in California for The Volvik Championship. The event starts February 28th through March 2nd. Follow along at http://www.symetratour.com for live scoring.
The 2014 season is approaching fast and I have finally established a schedule for my year. As of right now I have about 25 events and plus qualifying school on there. I will be starting my first event next week here in Phoenix, AZ on The Cactus Tour. I look forward to starting tournaments and competing again. My name for this season is going to be Jessi Gebhardt-White. It is going to be a great season and I hope you all follow along.
The 2013 Season has come to an end last Sunday in Daytona Beach, Florida where I missed getting my LPGA card by three strokes. Last week was Final Stage of Qualifying School, it was five rounds of golf. Overall the week it is one of the most emotional all year but I was able to work hard and give it a good run. I started out rocky with a 77 the first day but came back and shot 69, followed by 71. The fourth day I shot 74 and made the cut right on the number at three over par. The last day I needed to have a good low round, but ended up shooting 72. My mind the whole week was my ally and I feel like the way I approached this event will help me in the future.
The plan for the next year is to play on The Symetra Tour, The Cactus Tour and Monday Qualifiers for LPGA events. I look forward to spending the holidays with friends and family and take sometime off while working out for next year. But once I take sometime for my self, I look forward to working hard at my game and making next year the best ever.
For the last blog of the year I would like to say thank you to all of you. I appreciate your support throughout the year and love all the comments I receive. Check in next year for a new schedule and more blogs to follow! Thanks again for reading my blog, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This week was an exciting week. I got myself into contention and leading for 36 holes. I have not been in that position for a long time and it was great to feel that kind of pressure. I started the tournament with a score of 68 in tough windy conditions. It was a great round and it felt awesome to score. I followed it up by a solid 73 and then the last day I shot 75. I struggled a little bit the last day but fought hard to try to stay in the tournament and take solo 2nd place. The excitement of having the lead and playing two decent rounds is great momentum. I know what I need to work on these next couple of days to get ready for the Arizona Women’s Open which will be held on November 4th- 6th at Foothills Golf Club. It feels great to be playing again in tournaments and I know that this 2nd place finish is going to only bring positive things my way!!!
